4th May 2004
A journey out to the Mountain Sanctuary Park to view the Lunar Eclipse.
A connection between the Nikon CoolPix 5700 digital camera and the babe 'scope the Meade ETX125
has still got a way to go in terms of low light focusing and tweaking, fiddling with other factors
so apologies for some of these fuzzy images.
The clouds cleared up just after sunset. The most amazing experience was during 'totality'
when all the stars came out surrounding the dulled down muddy blood red moon
I could see the milkyway in it's full glory and even surfed off to check out some deep space objects
like the Sombrello Galaxy - and saw the Eclipse until the end. It was a beautiful & stunning experience.
